life is good

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. Habits start small and grow into something more significant with time - just like weeds in your garden that take over before you know it! Habits could be the difference between being average or extraordinary at anything you want to achieve in life. This blog post will give you four habits that can change your life for the better and help you become more successful in any area of your life.

Read more Books

Everyone should read more! Reading will help you gain new perspectives on life, business, and people, applying them to your everyday life. But, unfortunately, according to a study by the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research, about 30% of Americans didn't pick up a book last year - that means almost one-third of the population didn't have any intellectual growth from reading whatsoever. So go out there and get those books! If you want some guidance on where to start, check out our blog post on how many books everyone should read in their lifetime. Today it's possible even if you're busy or don't like reading, thanks to audiobooks which are an excellent alternative when wanting something but not having lots of free time.

Focus on addictions

Everyone should try to avoid their addictions. An addiction is defined as an irresistible compulsion to indulge in a habit or practice, especially one that is harmful (such as smoking). We all have our vices - whether it's chocolate, coffee, or Netflix binging, you can't resist doing them! Decide what your main vice is and set small goals every day, which will help gradually break the bad habits. For example, if it's binge-watching TV, make sure you don't watch more than 30 minutes of screen time before going to sleep at night or when watching TV, turn it off after each episode instead of letting it roll into another one automatically by leaving on autoplay. This way, minor progressions are made, but eventually, they'll add up and make a big difference. When it's something more harsh like smoking or substances, you might need some professional assistance when you think of What Do Withdrawal Symptoms Cause and how you'll get yourself through this period.

Learn to listen better

Everyone should learn how to listen better. Listening is an essential skill you can have as a person; it allows us to connect with people and understand their needs, which helps us develop our business or relationships even further. It also enables us to be more empathetic towards others which makes for a much happier life day-to-day! To practice listening, try not interrupting when someone else is speaking, ask questions about what they said after they've finished talking, and don't think of your response until they're done. This will help you avoid getting carried away from what was discussed before by thinking of an answer too quickly. This does take time but, once mastered, brings enormous rewards that are worth it.

These habits are small but can make a huge difference in your life if you decide to implement them into daily practice. Start with one habit at time, take it slow and set achievable goals that will motivate you - before you know it, they'll be ingrained as part of who you are!
