Clyde May's Alabama Style Whiskey Tasting

You may have heard of "Tennessee Whiskey" or "Kentucky Bourbon" but this was a new one to us too. Clyde May's "Alabama Style Whiskey" is not only a relatively new and unique spirit, it also happens to be the official state drink of Alabama! We were joined by LC May and bloggers including James from ManTripping.com, Mike from TheGentlemanRacer.com, Tom from BourbonBlog.com, and Jon from 2DadsWithBaggage.com to explore this tasty expression along with the distillery's latest, Clyde May's Rye Whiskey. Read on to watch our tasting and see the tasting notes and how you can try some yourself.

We had a lot of fun that night tasting Clyde May's Alabama Whiskey. This is now one of my favorite whiskeys for how unique the flavor is. The subtle notes of apple add flavor, but without pushing it into the realm of a flavored whiskey.

Ultimately, there is no such thing as an Alabama Whiskey until Clyde May created it, but we're sure glad he did!
