Sundance Film Festival Acura Festival Village on stagePeople enjoy being at the Sundance Film Festival’s Acura Festival Village.The 2022 Sundance Film Festival has canceled all in-person events for 2022, which is a huge blow to the bars, restaurants, events, hotels, sponsors, private and public parties in Park City, Utah, and all the elements that make this such a happening event for those in the independent film industry.Here is the statement from the event on its website,  Festival.Sundance.org:As a nonprofit arts organization, the Sundance Institute has held the Sundance Film Festival for close to forty years to support artists and introduce their work to audiences, creating a community around independent storytelling. We have been looking forward to our first fully hybrid Sundance Film Festival and our teams have spent a year planning a festival like no other.But despite the most ambitious protocols, the Omicron variant with its unexpectedly high transmissibility rates is pushing the limits of health safety, travel and other infrastructures across the country.And so, today we’re announcing:the Festival’s in-person Utah elements will be moving online this year....
