Not this year in the Big Easy. Mayor LaToya Cantrell has banned all alcohol sales in the French Quarter and is shutting down all the bars in that area. This is in effect from Feb. 12-16. Fat Tuesday is Feb. 16. That means no going insane with a Hurricane, no turning green from too many Hand Grenades, no multi-colored slushy drinks, no tube shots from buxom girls in the bars and no “Big Ass Beers” from street vendors. “To those that are upset about these restrictions, know that when it comes to the health of our people, I’d rather be accused of doing too
